Meet, Katerina

Hi, I’m Katerina—founder of Black Onyx Dog Training, lover of dogs, the color black, and probably drinking way too much Red Bull.

I’ve been professionally training dogs since January 2023, and in that time, I’ve had the joy of working with over 200 dogs (and their humans). Whether it’s basic manners or other behavioral hurdles, I believe every dog deserves a chance to become their best self and that starts with clear communication, structure, and trust.

My approach is part obedience, part mindset, and 100% team effort. Let’s build something awesome—starting with your dog.

When I’m not helping dogs and their people build better relationships, you’ll probably find me soaking in all things fall, decorating for Halloween, or laughing with friends.

Meet, Sean

Sean is Katerina’s partner and affectionately known as “temp-dad” to the dogs staying with us! He’s always ready to dish out snuggles, playtime, and plenty of attention. Sean lends a hand with everything from drop-offs and pick-ups to let-outs, feeding, and cleaning—and his help is always appreciated!
